⚠️ WEATHER ADVISORY: TYPHOON BASYANG ⚠️

To all Cubacubnons:

Based on the latest bulletin from PAGASA, Typhoon Basyang may bring heavy rains, strong winds, and possible flooding in our area. In line with this, the Barangay Council of Cubacub reminds everyone to remain vigilant and prioritize safety at all times.

We strongly encourage every household to take the following precautionary measures:

🔹 Secure your homes – Fasten roofs, doors, and windows. Bring inside or tie down light materials such as flower pots, roofing sheets, signages, and other objects that may be blown away by strong winds.

🔹 Prepare emergency supplies – Keep flashlights, batteries, candles, power banks, drinking water, ready-to-eat food, medicines, and first-aid kits readily available.

🔹 Safeguard important documents – Place IDs, birth certificates, land titles, and other important papers in waterproof containers or plastic envelopes.

🔹 Avoid unnecessary travel – For your safety, stay indoors as much as possible, especially during periods of heavy rain and strong winds.

🔹 Be alert for flooding and landslides – Residents in low-lying and flood-prone areas are advised to prepare for possible evacuation if necessary.

🔹 Check on the elderly, children, and persons with disabilities – Let us ensure that our most vulnerable neighbors are safe and properly assisted.

The Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Committee (BDRRMC) is on standby and continuously monitoring the situation. Evacuation centers and response teams are ready should the need arise.

We urge everyone to stay updated through official PAGASA advisories and announcements from the Barangay. Let us all remain calm, cooperate, and help one another during this time. Together, we can keep our community safe. 🙏

Stay safe and vigilant, Cubacubnons!
